Dr. Jones is a native of Lenora, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Houston-College of Optometry in Houston, Texas. She completed a family practice externship at York Eye Associates in Gainesville, Texas and an Ocular Disease rotation at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston, Texas. While at the University of Houston, her emphasis was in ocular disease and pediatrics.

She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, InfantSee, and the Ocular Nutrition Society. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hays Area Children Center and is a past Board member of CASA of the High Plains. She serves on the Administrative Board at the Hays First United Methodist Church, where she also teaches an adult Sunday school class. She is a member of PEO Chapter BQ and of Women's Investment Club.

Dr. Jones resides in Hays with her husband, Dr. Jarrod Jones, and their two daughters. Outside of the passion for their professions, the couple enjoys spending time with their family. Together they enjoy snow skiing, family vacations, and days trips to the family farm.

Deb is an Ellis County country gal growing up around the Catherine, Kansas area which is approximately 12 miles from Hays. In 1985 she became American Board Certified in Opticianry and has maintained her certification since that time. She is also active in the Kansas Opticians Association.

In 2001 she became certified as a Paraoptometric Assistant. She enjoys meeting and helping the public with their eyecare needs.

Outside of the office, Deb keeps busy with helping on the family farm. She enjoys spending time spoiling her nieces and nephews, playing cards, bowling and dancing. She is active in the Polka and Square Dance Clubs. If and when a moment of quiet time arises, a novel will be read or knitting/crocheting project will be started. She enjoys working in the yard during the summer months.
